Rutland Herald Christmas Letter-1944

A nostalgic view of the past, this Christmas letter to the Rutland Herald Employees active in the military during the Second World War served as a reminder that they were not forgotten. It also includes those workers maintaining the paper waiting for their return.

Those remaining at the paper were listed in the opening pages, followed by those on active duty. In addition to their name and rank it mentions their previous occupation at the paper, and their current locations if known.

All available photographs of both current and previous employees created a “family album” of the Rutland Herald at this critical time forming a bond between those at home and those celebrating Christmas all over the world.
